Crowns were generally used as caps to cover the natural, fractured or broken teeth. However, now crowns are used for many other reasons like permanent restoration of a teeth, decayed/broken tooth, discolored tooth, closing the gap etc
What is it made from?
Generally these are made from a variety of materials. Primarily these are made from porcelain, captek, zirconia etc. These materials are white in color and matched to individuals teeth shade.
Duration?
This can be made in two appointments. In the first appointment an impression is made on the prepped tooth and sent to the laboratory where it gets processed. It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks for the crownto be constructed.
